We are delighted to confirm that Kitman Labs has been nominated for a prestigious accolade at the forthcoming BT Sport Industry Awards 2018.

Our cutting edge iP: Intelligence Platform has been shortlisted in the Performance Technology of the Year category.

The winner will be announced at the star-studded BT Sport Industry Awards ceremony at Battersea Evolution on Thursday, April 26.

Kitman Labs was shortlisted ‘after a rigorous judging process’, having been ‘carefully selected from an exceptionally high standard and number of entries’.

Kitman Labs’ Intelligence Platform, used by the likes of Bath and Gloucester rugby clubs, is proving increasingly popular within elite sport because, for the first time ever, individual athletes’ data is processed in one place.

This enables coaches and sports science staff to interpret all individual data via real-time, intelligent alerts to help them understand athletes with unprecedented precision, make informed decisions and gain a competitive edge.

Kitman Labs CEO Stephen Smith said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for the BT Sport Industry Awards 2018.

“It’s great recognition for our Intelligence Platform which is helping coaches and sports scientists prevent injury and, equally as importantly, drive performance. Our system has been created by practitioners with 64 years of sports science expertise between them, enabling the evolution of athlete performance.

“We have more sports and data scientists than anyone else in the industry who boast real world experience in a wide range of sports. We look forward to sharing our expertise with more and more sports clubs in the coming years.”

The BT Sport Industry Awards are the largest commercial sports awards in the world.

Nick Keller, chairman, Sport Industry Group – organisers of the BT Sport Industry Awards – commented: “We introduced a number of new categories this year to reflect the work and strategy being undertaken across the sport industry.

“It is clear that technology is significantly changing our industry but we also are seeing many campaigns that are purpose lead. There is no doubt in these fragmented times that our industry has a greater role to play.”

Bringing together sports stars, celebrities, senior decision makers, influencers and global media, the industry’s most anticipated night of the year celebrates the very best work from across the sector.

The famous trophies are awarded on-stage in front of a sell-out crowd of 1,700 guests.

The BT Sport Industry Awards judging process is one of the most transparent and stringent procedures of its kind with over 60 hours of intensive judging.
