Madrid, Spain and Menlo Park, CA September 17, 2024 – The Royal Spanish Rugby Union and Kitman Labs, the sports technology and analytics company setting the industry standard for how elite sports organizations use data, today announced a new deal that will provide the Men’s and Women’s 15’s and 7’s national teams with iP: Intelligence Platform, a centralized, cloud-based operating system designed to aggregate and mobilize all player medical, performance, coaching and talent development data.
The centralized platform will enable the Royal Spanish Rugby Union to accomplish several key objectives:
- Ensure the timely collection and accuracy of data across all teams – driving practitioner participation and compliance, eliminating data gaps and inconsistency across teams
- Consolidate all player-related medical data to create individual “medical passports” that centralize all historical and current treatment histories, diagnoses and other related data for a complete physical and mental accounting of each athlete
- Enable real-time communication and collaboration across all relevant departments and stakeholders
- Provide the analytics and insights necessary to support data-led, evidence-based decision-making in the areas of medical management, player health and wellness, performance optimization and talent development
