Dublin, Ireland and Oslo, Norway, June 11, 2026 – The Norway Football Federation (Norges Fotballforbund, NFF) and Kitman Labs, the global leader in performance intelligence, today announced a partnership to unify Norway’s national player development pathway on a single platform. The NFF will deploy the Operations & Pathway Management Solution within Kitman Labs’ iP: Intelligence Platform, connecting 1,900 club nominations, 18 districts and every Boys’ and Girls’ youth national team in one shared development environment.

The deployment will support Landslagsskolen, the NFF’s national player development model that runs from age 12 through to senior international level. Across the pathway, the Operations & Pathway Management Solution in iP will give the federation a single environment for player nominations, training camp management, pre-camp data collection, post-camp coach evaluations and longitudinal tracking, replacing the multiple systems and manual workflows that have historically sat between the federation, its districts and its clubs.

A Solution built for federations and leagues

Within iP: Intelligence Platform, the Operations & Pathway Management Solution unifies Kitman Labs’ League Operations and Coaching & Development capabilities into a single environment built for federations and leagues to manage both the running of the game and the development of players in one place. Competition management software has historically been built to administer fixtures, registrations and discipline. Operations & Pathway Management adds the structured player development workflows that federations need to track players, log evaluations, share coaching standards across districts and clubs, and maintain a longitudinal view of every athlete in the pathway.

The Solution sits within iP: Intelligence Platform and is configurable to the structure, governance model and football philosophy of each federation or league deploying it. For the NFF, it provides the infrastructure to implement Landslagsskolen consistently across the country while accommodating district-specific adaptations.

Implementing Landslagsskolen at scale

On the new platform, clubs across Norway will nominate players directly into the system, generating initial player profiles without manual handling between organisations. Districts will manage their own players and activities. National team coaches will manage Norway’s Boys (U15-U21) and Girls (U15-U23) youth squads. Granular permissions ensure each stakeholder works with the data appropriate to their role, while a single player record travels with each athlete as they progress through the pathway.

Pre-camp information from clubs, including Individual Learning Objectives, training schedules and player contact information, will be collected through the same system. Coaches will write detailed evaluations after camps, with flexible sharing options that allow information to flow back to a player’s club at the appropriate level. Activities such as UEFA Development Tournaments will be managed in the same environment, with the federation able to define what information clubs share, which players are included and how reporting flows after the event.

As part of the deployment, Kitman Labs is also developing the NFF Player Pathway, a configuration of the platform tailored to the federation’s coaching syllabus and development framework. The configuration is designed to give the NFF a consistent national framework that accommodates district-specific adaptations, while centralising the data needed to measure pathway effectiveness over time.

“Norway is one of the most exciting stories in global football right now. The national team is succeeding, the clubs are improving, and the country is producing some of the most influential players in the world,” said Stephen Smith, Founder & CEO Kitman Labs.  “That kind of trajectory is the result of deliberate decisions about how to develop and connect players from grassroots to the senior national team. This partnership is the infrastructure that supports that ambition, and a clear signal from the NFF’s leadership that the country’s future as a force in international football is something they intend to build, not leave to chance. Operations & Pathway Management is the Solution we have built for exactly this kind of work, and with this deployment that infrastructure will run across the entirety of Norwegian football.”

“The objective is to remove the friction in how we identify, evaluate and develop players across Norway’s clubs, districts and national teams,” said Thomas Bock Brantsaeter, Head of Talent ID at the Norwegian Football Association. “On Kitman Labs’ platform, our feedback will travel with the player back to their club. Coaches across the country will work from a shared framework. And we will have one continuous record for every player in the pathway from U12 age group through to the senior national team. Kitman Labs gives us the infrastructure to achieve this at the scale we need.”

The Norway deployment adds to Kitman Labs’ work at the league and federation level globally. The Premier League’s Elite Player Performance Plan partnership runs across all 92 Premier League and EFL academies in England. In the United States, Kitman Labs powers connected pathway operations across MLS, MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT. More broadly, the company supports more than 2,000 teams, leagues, federations and high performance organisations across 26 countries, including clients in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, the NFL, MLS, NWSL and WSL Football.
