Dublin, Ireland & Villeurbanne, France, September 17, 2026 – Kitman Labs®, the global leader in performance intelligence, today announced a new partnership with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne that brings the Club’s first team onto iP: Intelligence Platform. LDLC ASVEL is the first Club in the LNB Élite and the EuroLeague to deploy iP, and the agreement marks Kitman Labs’ entry into elite European basketball.
The partnership begins as the Club enters a new chapter. Tony Parker, who has served as Club president since 2014, took over as head coach in June 2026, and LDLC ASVEL has since appointed new performance and medical staff across the first team. Rather than layering tools onto existing systems, the Club is building its performance and data infrastructure from the ground up, with iP as the foundation from day one.
Building from the ground up on a single source of truth
LDLC ASVEL will run the Performance Medicine and Performance Optimization Solutions on iP. iP Core serves as the operational layer beneath those Solutions, handling the workflows, scheduling and coordination that connect the Club’s medical, performance and coaching departments. Coaches, medical staff, performance staff and analysts access reporting, dashboards and visualization through My iP, the Platform’s intelligence layer, with each user seeing the information relevant to their role.
iP will consolidate the Club’s existing technology into one environment. Data from Kinexon, VALD, and Firstbeat will flow into the Platform with an external API connecting LDLC ASVEL’s wider systems. The result is a single centralized record for each player rather than separate outputs held by separate departments, with access to that record governed by role.
Why the infrastructure matters in European basketball
Clubs competing in both the LNB Élite and the EuroLeague manage two competitions, two travel schedules and a calendar that leaves little space between matches. Availability decisions are made on short turnarounds, and rosters change more frequently than in most team sports. That combination puts a premium on having medical, physical performance, and on-court data in the same place, described the same way, and available to authorized staff according to their role.
By bringing that data onto a single operational layer, iP gives LDLC ASVEL a longitudinal record of each player that grows more valuable with every session, screening and match. Over a season, that record is what turns individual data points into patterns the staff can act on, from how a player responds to a congested week to how far through a return to play they actually are.
“LDLC ASVEL is one of the defining institutions in French basketball, and the Club is making a deliberate choice about how it wants to operate,” said Stephen Smith, Founder and CEO of Kitman Labs. “Most organisations come to us with a decade of disconnected systems to unpick. LDLC ASVEL is building its infrastructure properly from the start, which is the harder decision to make and the better one. Basketball today is where football was ten years ago: the data exists, but it sits in separate tools and nobody can see the whole athlete. Working with a Club competing at the top of the LNB Élite and in the EuroLeague gives us the right place to set that standard for the sport in Europe.”
“As we established our new Performance Department, one of our priorities was to create a shared environment connecting the information generated across our medical, performance and coaching teams,” said Yannis Irid, Director of Performance, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. “Kitman Labs will allow us to progressively centralize these different data sources, improve communication between departments, and build a consistent longitudinal record for each player. Given the demands of competing in both the EuroLeague and the LNB Élite, having reliable information available within a clear and coordinated workflow will help us make faster, better-informed decisions while keeping the player at the centre of the process.”
