The sports industry’s most advanced Performance Intelligence provider, Kitman Labs announced its support of dual champions Saracens Rugby today. The European and Premiership Rugby Champions use Kitman Labs award winning Performance Intelligence Platform to get insights about their player’s health and performance.

“The Kitman Labs system and analytics allow us to focus on the physical factors and training loads that most influence in-game success and also align our whole staff group and athletes around a shared view of what actually matters for performance,” said Phil Morrow, Saracen’s Performance Director.

“We also now have a greater ability to refine and improve training and development programs for individual players, groups of players and the entire team.”

Morrow is the man responsible for aligning and driving the team to success each season. He uses Kitman Labs platform to enhance communication amongst his large staff of performance and medical practitioners and ensure everyone is aligned on performance goals and strategies around player preparation and health.

“By partnering with Kitman Labs we have confidence that the data backed decisions we are making are focused on delivering successful performance outcomes,” said Morrow.

Leveraging their own data with the Kitman Labs platform, Saracen’s coaches and staff can make better decisions on how to optimise player performance in both games and training, whilst also using the data to build better, more informed and more focused development programs. The English Rugby Club relies on Kitman Labs’ data and insights to advance their training program in three key ways:

  1. Capture, synthesise, and visualise all player and team data in a single, centralized system that can be leveraged by every member of the organization.
  2. Analyze and provide insights that inform or confirm training plans for individual players, groups of players in a specific position, or the entire team.
  3. Reduce player injury by connecting performance and development data to training regimens, physical and mental health maintenance strategies.

Stephen Smith, Founder and CEO of Kitman Labs, added: “A winning vision and culture combined with strong performance strategies and the ability to actually execute on their goals make Saracen’s a leader in world rugby.”

“Their athlete-centric style of operation is truly supported by the Kitman Labs system, particularly through the insights from their data that help staff understand the unique factors that impact success and can help them to consistently meet their goals. We are very proud to partner with such a powerful and forward-thinking organisation,” said Smith.

Kitman Labs helps teams to consistently perform at their best by increasing the impact of their own data and optimising daily workflows through their powerful analytics and performance intelligence platform. The advanced analytics, which link performance data, medical records, workload, and recovery, produce real-time actionable insights and build confidence in player training and development decisions.
