Kitman Labs Performance Tech of the Year

We are delighted to confirm that Kitman Labs won the inaugural Performance Technology of the Year prize at last night’s prestigious BT Sport Industry Awards 2018.

We were named best in class for our Athlete Optimization System at a sell-out ceremony at Battersea Evolution, where the very best work from across the sports industry was recognised and celebrated.

Kitman Labs was announced the winner in front of a star-studded 1,700-strong audience that included the likes of Sir Mo Farah, Johanna Konta, Sir Ben Ainslie, George Groves, Brian O’Driscoll, Casey Stoney, Jordan Nobbs, Chris Eubank Jr and Snr, Elise Christie, Tanni Grey-Thompson, Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh, Ellie Simmonds, Heather Knight and Jonny Bairstow.

Kitman Labs CEO Stephen Smith said: “Being named best in class in front of industry peers was fantastic recognition for Kitman Labs and we’re absolutely delighted to have won the Performance Technology of the Year Award.

“Every single member of the Kitman Labs team has contributed to this success and the award is just reward for all their hard work.

“Our Athlete Optimization System helps coaches and teams to drive performance and this reward shows that we are changing the game in sports performance.

“We have more sports and data scientists than anyone else in the industry who boast real world experience in a wide range of sports. We look forward to sharing our expertise with more and more sports clubs in the coming years.”

Kitman Labs had been shortlisted for the new Performance Technology of the Year category ‘after a rigorous judging process’, having been ‘carefully selected from an exceptionally high standard and number of entries’.

The BT Sport Industry Awards are the largest commercial sports awards in the world.

Bringing together sports stars, celebrities, senior decision makers, influencers and global media, the industry’s most anticipated night of the year celebrates the very best work from across the sector.

More than Equal’s mission is to close the gender gap in motor sports and find and develop the first female Formula 1 world champion. They will now have an advanced operating system to centralize data for female drivers participating in More than Equal’s pioneering Development Programme.
